Brendan had
always wanted to run the London Marathon. So when he was offered a
place to run for our local charity "The
Agape Family Care Trust", he jumped at the chance.
Months of hard training were
to follow and that coupled with the running up and down ladders on the
extension proved worth while when the actual race day arrived.
The only downside was that he
ran out of clothes to wear as he became fitter and leaner. |

| The
atmosphere at the start was absolutely fabulous and very emotional.
Every time I heard the Marathon theme it bought a lump to my throat.
After the race had started the girls and I made our way to the Cutty Sark
to meet my friend 'T', whom I would like to publicly thank very much for
coming and supporting Brendan and the boys and for helping me, as
trying to watch 2 children in a crowd that size would have been a
nightmare on my own. Actually I think the site of Gordon Ramsey's
legs and all those men in uniform made her day and more than made up for
the drizzly weather. |

This is Brendan at the starting lineup.
Well his hand. It's the one in the air above the bloke wearing a dark
blue t-shirt.
